About Marty Calliham
After receiving my master’s degree from the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin in 1999, I became licensed by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners (#AC00422) and certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (#011838). I am also a licensed massage therapist (#MT036172) through the Texas Department of State Health Services. When I was in my early thirties, I learned first-hand how it felt to suffer from chronic illness and began to take responsibility for improving my health. This experience led me on a path to learn holistic, traditional Chinese medicine. In my professional work, I get special satisfaction in treating people with difficult, chronic conditions that do not easily resolve under conventional medicine. In my free time I enjoy walking in nature, attending Quaker meetings, living deliberately, and having quiet conversation with friends. |
